Ron is a retired US Air Force officer and enlisted person with over 30 years of experience in information technology and information assurance, from software development and system administration to security analysis and security operations. Ron’s current role is as a cyber security SME for Serco North America. Ron has been a security instructor since 2010, where he shares his experiences as a security analyst, threat hunter and incident responder at multiple military and commercial security operations centers, and various consulting clients including the US military, NASA, oil and gas, and the construction industry. Ron primarily teaches Security 504, and has also taught Security 401 and 503, covering all three core classes for the SANS Technology Institute . When not thinking about attackers and defenses, Ron spends his time looking for yet another craft cider he hasn't tried and apologizing to his dance partners.
