Jan D'Herdt currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Global Lead of Cybersecurity at Argenx, Europe’s largest biotech company. In this role, he leads the global information security program—developing strategy, managing risk, overseeing security operations, and fostering a culture of security awareness throughout the organization. He also acts as a key liaison between technical teams and executive leadership, ensuring clear and effective communication of cybersecurity posture and risk at all levels. Previously, Jan was Head of Enterprise Security Architecture at a global biopharma, driving initiatives across architecture, policy, and cybersecurity awareness. With over 20 years of experience and certifications including CISSP, CISA, and GCIH, he specializes in security strategy, compliance, and risk. He also teaches LDR512: Security Leadership Essentials for Managers, where he empowers future security leaders with practical, real-world insights.
