Christian Villapando

Christian is a security consultant for Red Rock IT Security Inc., a cybersecurity services provider based in the Philippines specializing in Managed Detection and Response, Penetration Testing, and Incident Response. He has led several types of assessments, from the usual web, network, and penetration tests, red teaming, and purple teaming - all those that required deep technical skills as well as security posture assessments that steer organizations to improve their overall security. He has seven years of progressive industry experience operating in public and private domains, both from an internal and external, consulting perspective.

Christian is GSE#397 and holds numerous certifications including GSP#340, GX-PT#7, GX-IH#358, GX-IA#405, GX-CS#338, GCPN, GDAT, GMOB, GSTRT, GPEN, GCIA, GCIH, GSEC, OSEP, OSCP, CISSP, and holds a Master’s degree in Information Security. He also serves as a faculty for various universities and colleges in the Philippines, instructing and teaching cybersecurity courses. He believes that teaching is one of the best ways to make an impact on the future.

Outside his day work, you will find Christian teaching SANS SEC560: Enterprise Penetration Testing course - bringing in the experience and lessons he has learned from the engagements he has worked on throughout his career.
